• Establishment of Santé Capital in 2011 by Andrew and Ben. Return to investors since inception are top quartile.
• Development of the first and only private mental health facility in the Illawarra region (South Coast, NSW). South Coast Private was Andrew and Ben’s fourth Mental Health facility. They identified the Wollongong region as key unmet demand opportunity. South Coast Private was established and opened in May 2013 and has subsequently developed into a leading mental health facility offering a broad array of treatments and therapy.
• Ben established of Healthe Care Australia in 2005. Between 2005 to 2011, Healthe grew into Australia’s largest privately owned, for-profit hospital network generating $250 million revenue and employing over 2,000 staff across 12 hospitals.
• Upon sale in 2011, Healthe Care delivered a strong return to investors due mostly to brownfield expansion and new services including mental health, cardiology, comprehensive rehabilitation and oncology, which then went on to continued success under Archer Capital and Luye.
• Andrew spent 16 years at CHAMP Ventures and its predecessor, Australian Mezzanine Investments. Andrew led CHAMP’s investment in Healthe Care, which generated a ~40% IRR. During his time at CHAMP Ventures, it floated 10 companies and invested in a broad range of healthcare companies which included Engeneic, G2 Therapeutics, Victorian Imaging Group (now i-Med) and Healthcare Australia (nursing agency).
